Hermès introduces a miniature Nantucket watch

In 1991, when Henri d’Origny was asked to come up with a square watch, he designed the Nantucket watch for Hermès with an elongated rectangular case and an anchor chain motif. Now the watch has been redesigned in a new avatar called the Très Petit Modèle (17 x 32 mm) and is available in steel and 18k gold versions.


The gold watch is set with 186 diamonds and features a white mother-of-pearl dial. Thee steel version features an opaline dial. Powered by a Swiss Quartz movement, the watch provides the usual hour and minute functions and is water resistant to 30 m. The watch is available with either single or double wrap-around straps available in alligator or calfskin and in a broad range of colors.

This is a lovely women’s day gift to your mom or best friend thanks to a truly timeless design and neat aesthetic. The watch is classically Hermès and will be a treasured timepiece for years to come.

Chanel’s debuts a spectacular in-house watch movement for women: the Calibre 2

Chanel is quickly developing their portfolio of watches and their dazzling new Première Camélia Skeleton Watch marks another feather in the maison’s cap. This is the first watch for ladies from Chanel to feature an in-house movement and the movement is being called Calibre 2. The first in-house movement from Chanel (Calibre 1) debuted in their Monsieur de Chanel watch last year.


Chanel’s Première is not a new watch at all; this model was originally launched 30 years ago. The new version features the same octagonal shape that’s inspired by the brand’s own No. 5 perfume bottle. The watch is available in a version with 104 brilliant-cut diamonds and 4 baguette-cut diamonds and another with 42 baguette-cut diamonds and 52 brilliant-cut diamonds. Chanel’s simple and classic aesthetic is maintained by the black satin strap and the white gold double folding buckle set with 30 brilliant-cut diamonds.

Chanel’s skeletonized Calibre 2 is a work of art in itself. The movement has been designed in a way that its bridges form the house’s emblem, the Camelia flower. After the idea was conceptualized, it was the technical team’s responsibility to bring the vision to life, which they have certainly done. The movement is manually wound with a 48 hour power reserve. Chanel has gone one step further with the baguette diamond set watch by setting the movement with diamonds too. The brilliant cut diamond case version has no diamonds on the movement, but a bit of dazzle on the watch hands instead. The baguette version will also be available with a full pave bracelet.

According to Hodinkee, prices start at €130,000 (approx. $138,000) for the brilliant-set model while the baguette-set model is to be priced at €190,000 (approx. $200,000) on a satin strap and €260,000 (approximately $276,000) with the full pavé bracelet.

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you’d have probably seen Lady Gaga’s stellar Super Bowl performance, and caught the 60-second clip showcasing Tiffany’s latest modern rebel (just watch the YouTube video above), the one and only Lady Gaga for HardWear.

Let’s not just talk about Tiffany’s HardWear, let’s swoon. The very embodiment of strength and soul of the modern lady, three words come to mind when describing the collection. Attitude. Unisex. Extensive.

Attitude. Each piece exudes a vibe that’s chic yet raw all at once, a rebellious attitude present in the pieces from this collection. Bracelets come in varying sizes, so most anyone can have a go at them, or just take a necklace, wrap it twice around your wrist and you’ve got the coolest double tour bracelet yet. Personalisation is also big with the HardWear collection, with selected pieces available for say, engraving of your loved ones’ initials, to make it even more special.

Extensive. The collection is pretty extensive, even exhaustive, with pieces available in sterling silver all the way to bold 18k gold. A highlight piece is the chain necklace that features graduated links and a fuss free clasp that keeps the whole look together. Other pieces include everything from earrings to rings, and whether you’re naughty or nice, you’ll have no problems finding pieces that will speak to your personality the most.

Prices start from SGD255 for the Bead Ring in sterling silver right up to SGD18,800 for the chunky 18k gold Chain Wrap necklace, with the entire collection to be released in Tiffany & Co. boutiques on 28 April 2017. Hermès S/S17 Rock & Punk Jewellery Collection

You read about the Mini Dog Bracelet collection from Hermès a week ago, now here’s a look at another range of jewellery from Hermès, loosely known as the Rock and Punk collection which is predominantly silver-based.

First up, under Rock, we have the Collier De Chien Rock GM Bracelet in silver with rose gold accents, which basically is the Collier De Chien with a much simpler silhouette sans calfskin. GUCCI X .I AM SMART WATCH

Black Eyed Peas’ member Will.i.am has collaborated with the house of Gucci to create and bring you the latest and best take on smartwatches.

The American singer, songwriter and rapper has teamed up with Gucci Timepieces on a “smartband” that carries the trademark of being completely standalone, that is, unrestricted by any existing smartphone or mobile device.

What makes it so smart after all? Well, despite the fact of its standalone features, the said smart watches have the technology and ability to send and receive text messages and even emails, make and receive phone calls, hold music, maps, calendar, and track your fitness. One thing we’re loving on the other hand is the fact that you have a sophisticated personal assistant in the said device which is activated and operated by voice command.

Gucci President and CEO Marco Bizzarri said in a statement that the brand and i.am+ smartband worked and developed together a device that is both fashionable and technologically advanced, something that is truly unique in the fashion market. Bizzarri coined the term ‘fashionology’, which is a beautiful melange of fashion and technology, something that the x.i am smart watches truly represent.
